10 resolutions to inhabit poetically the world and lead a poetic life

Welcome to 2025. The odyssey of life on Earth follows its course, step by step, dream by dream, page by page, verse by verse. Sometimes we feel gloomy but sometimes we also see the stars. What will be the canvas we will paint to tell or bring our story to life? How to go towards an enchanted life, from a state of “chaos” to “ok”, impossible to “I’m possible” and everything is possible ? Simple little things to change in your life can be enough to finally live in peace and “poetically inhabit the world. Here are ten possible resolutions to lead a more poetic life this year.

1) Find your rhythm

Enter the long term, slow down, take the time to stroll, to read, to breathe, to sail, to wander, to lose yourself in order to find yourself. Take your time to be present in each moment, in a form of “dolce vita”, without stress, in a state of peace. “Where are you running, don’t you know that heaven is within you? » wrote Christian Singer. Let’s appreciate life and the present moment, allow time to see things improve and feel progress. Move forward in small steps while looking at the distant horizon like a cape of good hope. Poetry allows us to flee from the torpor of daily events to enter deeper, like a great breath of fresh air, into a longer time state. The solution is perhaps ultimately to find your personal tempo, your natural level of endurance, in order to live at your own pace, the one that suits you and then hatch inside, like a butterfly of life. Let’s listen to our heartbeats to give rhythm to our lives around them.

2) Vibrate love

Love is the most beautiful and powerful energy of life, in vibration, in feeling, in momentum. Charli Chaplin said that “poetry is a love letter addressed to the world”. To which we could retort that love is the most beautiful poetic impulse and and source of life. Let us vibrate love through each cell of our body, in a symphony. What is life really worth without loving and being loved? Let us dare to open our hearts, without restraint. Between romanticism and sensuality, hugs are a way of embracing humanity. And let’s celebrate life like a party, in fullness, gratitude, forgiveness. Let us magnify our destiny, with an open heart and a smile on our lips. If being in love with someone or something fills us with joy and fills us with happiness, being in love with life is a great possible state of mind. So let’s cultivate this vibration daily by sowing seeds, from heart to heart. Perhaps in return, life will smile on us and invite us on a brighter future. In agape, with love, interpersonally or unconditionally.

3) Seek harmony

Poets are harmony seekers by nature. Search for the balance of all forces and forms of life in your life in order to escape extremes and bring you back to a state of lasting serenity. Harmony within oneself to acquire inner peace, harmony with others to build beautiful connections and take care of them, harmony with nature to live in symbiosis with the living, harmony at work in order for everyone to be in their own right spot, harmony in spirituality to see one’s shadows and get ever closer to a brighter path, etc. The quest for harmony is perhaps the most essential quest for leading a life of fulfillment.

4) Aim for fluidity

Sometimes things are done simply when they are right and natural. Without forcing, just being in the natural flow of things. For a more poetic life, look at fluidity as a foundation to build on, whether for human encounters, collaborations, intimate relationships, projects. Listening to this natural vibration between two beings or two ecosystems to find this common point that creates a bridge. And if this is not the case natively, bare it in mind so that everything is done smoothly,, like a horizon to be reached by everyone working towards this shared objective. A Chinese philosophy bears his name and is called “Wu Wei”. Let us be aware of the fact of doing things in their flow and not against the flow so that everything falls into place like evidence that advances on the unlimited path of all possibilities afterwards.

5) Connect with nature

Being in contact with nature makes you happy. It’s proven by science. Breathe fresh air, walk in the forest, do some gardening, touch the Earth’s land, admire soothing landscapes, feel the relaxing smells and sounds, contemplate the stars until the rising sun, observe the biosphere and biodiversity, being one with the living makes us feel alive and relaxes us. Let us get closer to nature and perhaps also to our human and even dare to live to the rhythm of the four seasons: Summer in our full potential, autumn in harvest and questioning, winter in hibernation and preparation, spring in renewal and flowering. Be in harmony with the living so that a poetic life truly opens up.

6) Marvel at the world

“The world will never starve for want of wonders; but only for want of wonder.” wrote Chesterton. Admire the beauty of the world, from the infinitely small to the infinitely large. Savor the magic of life, dream and imagine possibilities, look at others and everything with the amazed gaze of a child on first times, observe every little detail, the miracle of life is everywhere, like poetry. Let’s just adjust our gaze to glimpse it. Like the expression the Na’vi use in Avatar to connect with others: “I see you”. Let us contemplate the world with a smile and see the good, the beautiful, the subtle, the invisible energies and the physical and metaphysical reality as it is.

7) Be truly yourself

A poetic life could be defined as a life where we align all our planets and those of the world, on a sacred path, where we are fully ourself. Being yourself is surely the most beautiful poetic act you can do in this life. Dare to be yourself in the world, like a being of light, love and harmony. Not believing in yourself, but simply being yourself. Have the audacity to reveal yourself to the world as you are and grow towards your most beautiful version, embarked on your most noble mission, on the way to complete your destiny. What if this year, you decided to dare at times to see the welcome you would receive for being yourself. Granting yourself the right to dream, to be, to create, to fail, to start again, to become who you could be, namely you, from the depths of your soul in order to vibrate with the true light frequency of the world.

8) Live with your passion

Do you have a passion, an art, a talent, a hobby that you enjoy? An activity that completes you, makes you happy, makes you escape, elevates you, transcends you, makes you feel fulfilled? Integrate it into your life as much as possible. Become this artist of life. It can be manual work, a sport, an artistic discipline, dancing, writing, reading, construction, exploration, an intellectual subject, a field of study, a spiritual practice, a sensorial activity, etc. . Make it part of your daily routine, or even your “Ikigai” (your path of life as they say in Japan and which means “joy of living”, in which you manage to combine what you like to do, what you are good at, what the world needs and what can also remunerate you). Perhaps you could also gradually make it your activity, starting from your passion so that you never feel that’s it’s a job as Picasso said. It’s also a way of balancing the prosaic and the poetic in one’s life. Give yourself this gift of living with or from your passion and offer it to the world. May your highest flow also be your greatest gift. Otherwise, more simply, just live with passion, this flame of life that warms hearts and transcends mountains and wonders.

9) Give meaning to your life

The quest for meaning today seems to have gradually replaced the search for happiness, ultimately rather illusory, because the former seems more anchored, lasting and accessible. Give meaning to your life in the usefulness you could have in the world in order to fulfill yourself and be of service. Try also to find an activity that makes sense and gives you this feeling of being useful to the world in order to become an activist for the future, an activist for the living, an alchemist of life. . This will be your way of doing your share and contributing to make this world a better place while realizing yourself at the same time. “The purpose of life is to find one’s gifts and the meaning of life is to give them to others” wrote Picasso. May the partial gift of self bring you all the human and vital riches of the world. To be inhabited to poetically inhabit the world, inhabited by an ideal, a cause, inspired by greater than oneself, the We, in service, in joy. This is a beautiful path to a fully poetic life.

10) Desire what you have

Ultimately, happiness is nothing other than desiring what you have. Let us desire our life with gratitude for everything we are already fortunate to have. In this period of global warming and finite resources, we need a part of slowdown, renunciation, moderation to hope to enjoy tomorrow a desirable future for all. Let us praise simplicity, returning to the essential, abundance in sufficiency, stopping in time, enjoying life to the fullest balance, in order to be able to share all the treasures of our Earth. Spend time with family and friends. Focus on your inner worlds, the invisible, the sensitive, the beyond, in this part of spirituality to find peace there. Open your chakras to be in osmosis with the cosmos and nourish ourselves with this food of the soul, which is infinite. This ohm sweet home as less is more.

In the end, let’s make our life a poem. And if you take the time, read a few of them and even write some too, daily. Poetry is an anthem of life, a shot of optimism towards the future. “Life is only bearable if we introduce into it not utopia but poetry, that is to say intensity, celebration, joy, communion, happiness and love” said Edgar Morin, a French philosopher. Put poetry and the poetic in your life and appreciate all its marvels. Let us inhabit the world poetically, co-write our future poetically and live our lives poetically. Best poetic wishes! So, what will be your first act towards a more poetic life this year and what would be your definition of a more poetic life? Let’s raise our verses to 2025 and together, let’s poetize the world.
